**We are trying a new format for swaps this year...see below!
Swaps are always a fun part of any Stampin' Event. For a card swap, each stamper makes a number of cards and then trades them with other stampers. This is a GREAT way to get new ideas, get a good variety of cards, learn new techniques, and meet new people. It is far easier to make 20 of one card than 20 different cards.
At Stamp-A-Rama there is an optional open card swap. If you would like to participate, here's some guidelines:
- Make any number of cards you wish. We can give you an approximate number of attendees closer to the date, however not everyone will participate in the swap.
- It is easier to make a large number of the same card (then you can assembly line the process). But feel free to have several different designs as well.
- make full cards (so that you can actually use them)
- use only Stampin' Up! products
- at least one layer
- at least one embellishment (example: speciality paper, ribbon, buttons, brads, glitter)
- include your name and email on the card or paper clipped to the card (it is nice to put faces to names or someone might have a question or want to compliment your card)
- you don't need to include envelopes
If you do have questions about how swapping works, please let us know at info@stamparama.com.
** New for this Stamp-A-Rama. We'll do an organized swap at lunchtime. So hold all your cards til then (if you can stand the excitement) and then we'll organize and announce the swap time and place so that everyone gets a chance to swap. We suggest you bring a small shoebox or basket to hold your cards in.
